Software products, built from the database to the UI.
I'm Abdulrahman Shabaka, a senior engineer behind multi-tenant SaaS, pharmacy ERP and healthcare platforms. Veplix is the umbrella for the products I'm building next.
Meet the engineer behind Veplix.
A senior product software engineer from Egypt with years of production work across regulated and multi-tenant systems.
I work full-stack on .NET and Angular. For three years I worked full time and remotely inside a German team on a twenty-year-old pharmacy ERP and e-commerce platform, owning features in compliance-critical areas from the database and domain layer up to the UI. Alongside that I have built multi-tenant SaaS, a healthcare platform I led as technical lead, and an event-management product on a US-based team.
I'm comfortable owning a product end to end: system design, backend, database, frontend and delivery. I can take an idea to a working MVP quickly, and I care about the fundamentals that keep it standing afterwards, like data modelling, clean boundaries and predictable behaviour under load.
I build with AI daily, using Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT, and I use AI-assisted code review as a first pass before human review. Every AI-generated change is checked by hand, especially in domains where the rules are unforgiving.

What I've built and led.
Production work across pharmacy software, event platforms, healthcare and government systems.
Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (.NET)
Freelance, full time, remote from Egypt
- Worked on a 15-person distributed team on System3, a roughly 70-project, two-decade-old C#/.NET ERP and e-commerce platform for German pharmacies.
- Took on substantial pieces of the WinForms to WPF/MVVM migration: price comparison engine, orders dialog, document groups module and sensitive-data screens.
- Extended the M-PAYONE payment configuration end to end in one pass: domain entity, database schema, service handlers and UI.
- Built and maintained features in regulated areas that demand strict accuracy: pharmaceutical serialisation (Securpharm/EMVS), electronic prescriptions (eRezept) and pharmaceutical services recording.
- Spent considerable time on the import subsystem and led a refactor of the coupon system.
- Reduced risk through refactoring: replaced several hundred lines of manual DI wiring with convention-based registration and enforced compile-time boundaries between client and server code.
- Integrated a second remote-support tool into the client from scratch and replaced an end-of-life embedded browser component platform-wide.
- Built automated UI tests for the WPF client and set up the build agent and CI pipeline that runs them.
- AI-first workflow with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT, plus AI-assisted pull request review across the team.
Senior Software Engineer
12-person US-based product team, remote
- Own product features end to end across an Angular frontend and a .NET / GraphQL (HotChocolate) backend, working closely with product managers and designers.
- Built Angular modules for event registration, appointment scheduling, membership workflows and admin tools, using GraphQL queries, mutations and subscriptions across a microservices environment.
- Built and maintain a standalone AWS S3 file-storage microservice with per-tenant bucket isolation.
- Implemented authentication and authorization with IdentityServer and Keycloak using JWT scopes, and built multi-tenant capabilities such as hub-level configuration.
- Contributed to the modernized rewrite of the platform, including a Webpack to esbuild build migration, dependency and security upgrades, and CI pipeline hardening.
- Maintain CI/CD with Docker and Azure Pipelines, and support reliability with structured logging, Prometheus metrics and custom Grafana dashboards for GraphQL performance.
Backend Engineer, Biometric Attendance SaaS
Freelance, part time, remote
- Architected and built a production-ready multi-tenant SaaS for biometric attendance and workforce management using Clean Architecture, DDD and CQRS.
- Implemented row-level multi-tenancy with a dual-database strategy.
- Built a Smart Punch System that handles complex attendance rules and cross-midnight shifts.
- Integrated ZKTeco biometric devices through a desktop bridge application.
- Implemented a feature-flag system with 149+ flags for safe rollout and runtime control.
Technical Lead and Backend Architect, Mutabbib
Freelance, part time, remote
- Led and managed the engineering team of a platform connecting patients, hospitals, clinics, labs and doctors, owning delivery end to end.
- Managed the mobile, frontend and backend developers day to day: planned and prioritized work, unblocked the team and kept all workstreams aligned.
- Set the technical direction (Clean Architecture, DDD, CQRS) and made the final technical decisions across mobile, frontend and backend.
- Owned the system design and the API contracts that let the mobile and frontend teams build in parallel, including a 200+ entity healthcare domain model.
- Set engineering standards for validation, error handling and Arabic/English support, and stayed hands-on with secure REST APIs, optimized SQL location search and the Angular frontend.
Software Consultant, Full Stack Engineer
Egypt, hybrid
- Delivered full-stack features for national-scale government and institutional systems, working directly with client stakeholders from requirements through delivery and support.
- Built Angular SPAs with reusable component libraries, routing architecture and Arabic/English localization shared across multiple modules.
- Designed .NET backend APIs using CQRS, and designed and tuned SQL Server schemas for reliability and performance under production load.
What my lead says.
From a letter of recommendation by the Head of Development at Mauve, dated 31 August 2026.
“Getting productive in a codebase like that takes most people a long time. Abdulrahman managed it very fast.”
“I recommend him without reservation. He is a capable, broad and dependable developer.”

Where Veplix is going.
The short version of my plan, in three steps.
Join a strong engineering team in Germany or elsewhere in the EU, or work remotely. I'm relocating to Germany and I'm available for remote roles in the meantime.
Grow into a stack-agnostic senior backend engineer with deep fundamentals: databases, distributed systems and architecture, not tied to a single framework.
Build AI-powered SaaS products under Veplix. The first ones are in design now and will be announced here when they are ready.
Let's build something.
Hiring, collaborating, or curious about what Veplix will become? I read every message.
